Other is reverse that and check bulb sockets or wiring at the bulbs for presence of both power and ground. To get a ground to light up a test light you put 12V from the car to that alligator clip. Glad you could test it bad and fixed it! Total guess for parts on my part as I haven't so much as seen a Citroen since a restored 1964, 2CV if you recall what those were?
