chevy tahoe won't idle

i have a chevy tahoe 98' when i put my key in the ignition there is power but when i try to crank it the power drains. i let it sit for a while then tryed it again. it cranked up but would not idle, when it shut off i tried it again and it went through the same thing as befor.

Start with getting the battery checked. If the battery goes dead the computer loses its memory and idle problems are common. If this battery is original, replace it. If it is not original, get it charged and checked, along with the charging system. This is where we must start.
