We plugged in my car to read the engine code, it revealed MAF sensor open circuit A, we checked the maf sensor wiring, it was torn so my mechanic friend cut the torn part off. unfortunately we ran out of wire so he botched it up and said he'll get more wire and finish the job. That was several weeks ago and when I ask him if he has the wire, he makes excuses such as he hasn't been the salvage yard yet and says they are very tough to get hold of.
The engine light is still on reading open circuit A .

I am thinking of getting another mechanic who is good on cars to do the job and finish the wires once and for all for me , how is it possible to have my wires looking back to normal and operating as they should be ?

thanks

A professional technician should easily repair the issue you described.
pick your technicians as you would any professional be it a physician, attorney or an accountant, ask friends, neighbors, coworkers, family, colleagues or church members who they recommend.
