Portable jumpstarter & portable air compressor connection Sign In

I have a ZPB-400 portable jumpstarter that I want to connect to a portable Simoniz air compressor. The Simoniz air compressor has a cigarette plug end. I want to know whether I can use the portable jumpstarter's red and black alligator clips to clip on the positive and negative leads on the air compressor's cigarette end plug in device and make the air compressor work.

? I'd rather see you find a 12v port that has clips to attach to any 12v battery power source to make a port*. You could carefully try to connect for a test to see if you jumper box would work well at all for a 12v device and might find not all that long or well.

I'll try to make a pic show of what I mean..........

^^^^ Was there, may expire?
Look for stuff like that at auto parts outlets, online, even some department stores that sell some auto and camping type stuff.

Surprised as many jumper boxes come with ports already.

Do test out these items so you know if they will work well with whatever power the box has. Most I see are sorely over rated. Beware using vehicle's port(s) as well as if not running and running a device for some time the vehicle and its battery isn't really made for that.

(edit) pic seemed to finally show. Clip that to the jumper cables of box while still on the jumper box,

Those are VERY handy - own at least 4 or so now. Remember now you could go right to a running car's battery if need be for maximum performance of some powered item that uses the power port (cigar lighter size things) for power.

Test all items out so you know ahead what they can really do that you want them for. Caught myself with a miniature real just small scale compressor (12v) rated for 100PSI or so could NOT achieve over 45PSI for a "donut" or space saver tire usually really wants 60PSI or so or looks very low if on a vehicle in the emergency it's meant for even when running vehicle when power would be maximum.

Just saying test devices first and don't get caught when really needed. Almost all of the 12v compressors I've touched are painfully slow for a totally flat tire especially a large one.

Good luck. Handy little things,

T
