Hello,

The fan and my old blower motor on on the way out, so I bought a new one. the problem is the new one wont spin. The old one still spins on all 3 settings.

All I here is a click (not form the motor, somewhere else around that area) when I turn on the new motor.

I can hook up both motors directly to the battery and they both spin.

Any Ideas why the new motor wont spin when hooked up to the harness?

Thanks in advance.

Something may be different in the new motor causing the fins to bind against the housing somewhere or something wrong with the way you are wiring it. Are they "plug and Play" or do you have to splice wires?

Plug and play, it plugs in fine, and I am now testing it before I even screw is it. ie holding the motor whilst I plug it in.

If there is something different about that motor or squirrel cage, you keep replacing it with the same one.

The same one, i have gotten it from different companies, but the model # is the same. they tell me that is they only one. It seems to be the correct motor, from the searches I have done online.

Forget the searches. Lay them side by side with your original motor and compare them.

fixed it, i fell pretty dumb. The connector slot is a bit deeper, and it is tight, I just had to really push hard on it to get it all the way in.

Thanks for your replies.
