Knock sensor code on 2003 Honda Accord Sign In

2003 Honda Accord LX 2.4L 200K miles
Four months ago I replaced the starter motor. In the process, I disconnected the knock sensor and later reconnected it. Then i started to get P0325 codes indicating the ECU is not receiving a signal from the knock sensor. Recently, I replaced the knock sensor, but the P0325 code reappeared.

What is an efficient way to diagnose what is going on? I suspect the problem might be that there is an open in the starter sub-wire. What is an efficient way to get at the critical nodes of the sub-wire, and check them with my multimeter? I am imagining that I will need to remove the throttle body, intake manifold, etc, like I would when I worked on the starter. I am not sure how far this would get me towards accessing the pertinent ends of the sub-wire harness? Thoughts on what to do?

Thanks.

Jon

What does a starter circuit have to do with a knock sensor?

If you replaced the knock sensor and still have a code then you damaged the plug or the wiring for the knock sensor.

Re: Knock sensor code on 2003 Honda Accord Sign In

The wire harness goes a number of places including to the knock sensor and starter motor. When I replaced the starter motor, I had to unplug mutliple points on this wire harness, including the Knock sensor and starter motor. In the process, I may have damaged the cables?! So if I need to test the wiring, how easy is it to access the other end to do a continuity check (assume this other end is at the ECU?!). Perhaps this wiring goes more than these two places and thus other points of failure are possible?. It would be nice to know that the two possible issues are either a bad knock sensor or bad wiring. This seems logical, but I am not experienced enough to say.

? Plugs for anything lack IMO to be unplugged and plugged back in AND make original connection. That and pinching wire in the course of doing something that may not even be related is easy to do and not see it at the time.
Go back and check what you did it seems it didn't have this problem before you touched it,
