Is it possible to convert non reduction starter motor to reduction?

Hows it going,
I have a 2002 Toyota hiace 2.4L petrol, engine is 2rz-e, and I was wondering if it was possible to change the current broken non reduction starter motor to a reduction without changing anything else with the car, thanks,

Not sure what you mean using the word "reduction" to me suggests another ratio isn't practical vs what the car was originally.
This exact model not sold to the US really doesn't matter if that's what you wish to change just the drive gear and gear on "flywheel" or "flex plate" must match.
Never heard of changing that if that's what you meant. Even if a change in ratio was possible it would be involved.
Why would you want to change that at all?

My response would be no, the only starter that will fit the car is the one originally engineered for it.

Maybe the aftermarket performance market may have something, but why? Why would you need a gear reducted starter on a 4 banger?

Its because im buying a second hand part and its the only kind available, im most probably going to need to buy a brand new one by the sound of it, thanks for the reply guys, much appreciated

That word "reduction" is messing us up obviously.
If you have a problem with your existing starter and it is NOT physically broken it can be repaired. Most problems are just contact of brushes is glazed up and don't even need parts to fix many.
It may be difficult to find anyone if you don't do it yourself to have it done for your local to you. Nobody used to replace starter motors since ready to bolt on re-built (so they are called) ones are usually instantly available.
Check if you can for parts available for the one you have. Parts common are called "brushes" - "starter drive" or "solenoid" which could include the starter drive,

Tom, reduction starters have a planetary gear set or gearing to allow the starter to produce more torque, but at a slow speed.

Thanks DS. Still what's wrong with it now? Only said "broken" up top don't know if just weak or what. Same deal with motors - brushes this type cake up with dust and quit working or working well enough? If physically broken, burned somehow can see why a new one would be the choice if "rebuilt" isn't available or parts not easy enough,
