98' Dodge Neon 2.0 - 160,000 MILES I've just completed a Code check (Listed At Bottom) per the following symptoms Just purchased a 98' - Ran like a top for a week. Then the problem GRADUALLY started.... a jolt here & then - 2 or 3 times in 10 miles at highway speed for about 3 days. Checked fuel pressure - fine @ 50 lbs. at idle. Car starts fine, revs-up fine STANDING STILL. NOW, upon acceleration, it coughs, pops & dies - with hard restart. Starts fine the next day, but starts jolting again soon after departure. * I've changed pump relay.... wasn't that. * Battery & Check-Engine lights are on. But charging checks-out @ 14.2 CODE CHECK AS FOLLOWS: 11 - Intermittent loss of either camshaft or crankshaft position sensor, No crank reference signal detected during engine cranking. 12 - Direct battery input to PCM was disconnected within the last 50 key-on cycles 44 - Battery temp sensor volts out of range 41 - Generator field not switching properly 54 - No Cam signal at PCM 43 - Multiple/ single cylinder misfire __________________________________ WHERE SHOULD I GO FROM HERE ??? Thanks Much For Your Time & Help. Sincerely, cleverlion - MichaelP removed link from other forum

The first thing I would do is get to the bottom of that cam sensor code. You really need a lab scope to diagnose it properly but it's probably a bad sensor. After that you will need a scan tool to get a better picture of what is happening. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
