High beams set off car alarm

2008 Kia Sorento EX 3.8 v6 126,000 miles
when i turn my high beams on the car alarm start sounding. When i turn the low beams off and turn just the high beams on the horn does not sound. Any suggestions?

This is an aftermarket alarm system? If so, you will probably have to go to the company that installed the system to have it troubleshot. There are many aftermarket alarm systems out there and most auto techs don't have schematics for all of them.
