Help replacing positive battery terminal

I have been trying to replace the positive terminal for
2006 Nissan Sentra, 1.8s
I have purchased universal terminal, but nothing looks like the current hookup in my car and am unsure where to cut/reattach. Plus, there is a smaller cable connecting the positive battery terminal directly to the fuse box, which is sitting left adjacent to battery. If anyone can help w/more specific direction, I would be grateful! Do I just reattach smaller cable w/new lug after removing current terminal? The current terminal looks like it was once pieces that connected, but for life of me cannot unscrew top bolt.

It's tons better to get the exact correct new cable. Those "universal" things are really when there's no choice and just temporary, usually marked as such.
Do remember to remove neg cable while messing with the positive one and clean both while at it,

Thanks, I toyed with that but what's tripping me up, and probably this is dumb, but that smaller cable running right to fuse box. Do I replace this as well? What is it??

I'm not going to guess wrong for you so will suffice it to say it needs it to be correct. Trust in one thing, they don't put anything there for no reason and IDK but might be fusible link wire so get the right cable.
I know they rot if not greased up all the time and a PITA. Dielectic or ask for "battery grease" but almost any is better than nothing to help,

You will need to make sure that the smaller wire heading to the fuse box is included in the new terminal. The cheap bolt on ones are just asking for trouble down the road as Tom pointed out. I make my own cables. You can buy the sizes of wire you need in from the parts store, they just cut it off a bulk spool and charge you buy the foot for what you need. Then you buy the end you need, slide the wires in and crimp them down. Since you do not have a battery terminal crimper you can use a round punch and hammer with decent success. Once crimped, I heat it up with a small torch and fill the cavity in with rosin core solder. After it cools I put a thick piece of heat shrink over it and heat it until it has shrunk around completely. You will then have a quality replacement that is in many cases better than what the manufacturer built on this. Make sure you put dielectric grease on the connection points when you go to install it.
If this is something you do not think you want to tackle, get the last 8 digits of your VIN and call the dealership. They can get you the right cable. Sometimes they are real high priced, sometimes they are pretty decent.
Another option is to unhook the whole works and go to a shop. Pay them to make you one. If some of the automotive ones don't do them go to a place that works on semi trucks. I've never seen a truck shop that doesn't build battery cables.
As Tom pointed out for the sake of safety, be sure your ground cable is unhooked while working on this. Put the ground back on last.
