Headlights dimming on 1999 Corvette Hardtop Sign In

Hello. The headlights on my 99 Corvette dim periodically and I cant find the reason why. I replaced the battery and had the system checked twice so far and the dealer can't find a source. There is no drop off on the gauge when the lights dim...it usually hovers around 14.8 or so. The lights just dim for a second and then go back to bright. Other than that the car has no issues.

Could be something is turning on such as cooling fans or the AIR pump. You would have to monitor voltage and ground at the headlamps and monitor charging system voltage using something like a lab scope or DVOM in min/max setting. The volt gauge or even a DVOM might not react quick enough if it only happens for a split second.

You could also have a poor connection in a connector terminal, so wiggling harnesses associated with the headlamp circuits and inspecting connectors for terminal tension and corroded connections could be something to look into also.

With that fiberglass body you have to pay a lot of attention to grounds.
