Headlights & Tailights will not work after engine repair Sign In

1998
Honda CRV
240,000 miles (just fixed blown cylinder head)

Had my engine rebuilt....Everything seems to work but discovered headlights and taillights won't turn on. The signal lights work fine.
The mechanic says the lights are not burnt out ... so the light switch must be damaged. He did not mention any fuses or other causes. So I buy another light switch (the light /signal light combination switch on the left side of the steering column) and install it but they still don't work.

Does this car have 4 individual fuses for each headlight + each tailights? Is it possible that all 4 fuses got blown at the same time somehow?

What could be causing this? It seems really simple like they forgot to connect some wiring harness somewhere but Im not sure.

It most likely has a fusible ;ink at the starter. He may have missed hooking it back up or it may be burnt.

Each headlamp does have its own seperate fuse. Did anyone check for power at those fuses with the headlamps turned on?

Test...don't guess.
