Drivers Headlight On - Headlight Switch Off Sign In

On my wife's 2014 Mustang (3.7 v6, no DRL's, convertible) the driver's headlight started staying on even tho the switch is off, engine is off. I have to pull the fuse under the hood to shut it off. Help! Any suggestions appreciated.

It appears you have a bad Smart Junction Box. That is the main fuse box in the right kick panel. The drivers for each headlight is incorporated inside.

Cleaning terminals isn't going to change anything. It has an internal module that is the problem.

Oh! I had hoped it would simply be a matter of finding some arcing across terminals, some corrosion, etc. Can the module be replaced?
Thanks,Tim

Not just the module, the whole fuse box. It's all modular so the wiring just plugs in. It's a pretty common failure.

Hammer Time,
Is the fuse box just a plug and play? Can I just remove the old one and purchase a replacement (I guess it's a dealer item) bolt it in and go?
Thanks,Tim

Not sure about that. Some have to be programmed and some don't. You may be able so find one aftermarket or used.

Also make sure you don't have a water leak on that side. There is a known leak problem that takes out these modules.
