Did my engine get water?

In the Houston floods last night, my 2013 Subaru Crosstrek had water in the floors inches deep. I moved it to higher ground 30 feet away. How can I tell if the engine got water in it?

Eeek! Sorry for those troubles.
OK - water just into floor pans of car as this sits a bit low you MIGHT be OK engine wise as air intake would be the disaster sucking up air which you can look comes in higher than that under the hood.
What to watch for as I really think engine is fine or it would have choked and water and self destructed. Other things - anything electrical especially motors for seats, windows in doors if submerged they wont like that nor the starter motor is low.
IDK - perhaps alert insurance now of what happened and might be nice and help you if some surprises come up.
One thing you really should do is lift up all carpet that was submerged now as it wont dry totally out by itself. It will take time but both mold and rust issues down the road and plain lift it up maybe blocks of wood and a fan till you are happy it's dry.
Hey - There may be shops looking for check out all around you to save the cars that made it if not time yourself or ability to even take seats out or whatever to dry it out nicely.
Check fluid levels just because for evidence of water and get going drying it out where you don't see it as said,

Call your insurance comp[any now. I wouldn't be surprised if they totaled it. they usually do in those cases. There are electronics on the floor and wiring connectors.
Water damage will haunt you forever.

Yes, you don't have to worry about the ins. company pushing you into repairing it. They are the ones that are usually against repairing a flood car because they don't want to be married to it which is what happens with flood cars.

Sorry for the troubles making national news still! Yes as Hammer Time said this can easily total a car even if running OK right away as HT said insurance would "marry" the thing with endless electrical issues that haven't even acted up yet or will down the road.
Whole new car lots get totaled over water and flooding. It's real hard to say just how high water has to get for a lot of problems. It would begin if water went over center of wheels over bearing and brake parts IMO are NOT water proof rather water resistant like wrist watches don't like being dunked.
Glad you made them aware. If they are responsible at all they'll take care of you over it,
