Clicking noise under dash when turn on A/C ??

My 2012 Ford Fusion, 89,000 miles, makes a clicking noise under driver side dash when start engine with AC on or when I turn AC on ?? Recently had resistor and dovetail ?? replaced under there but it still does it ?? Have spent $900. on new AC blower & 2 new resistors and dogtail thing that plugs into resistor because it burnt up !! Still makes clicking sound and fear it's just a matter of time until my AC stops working AGAIN !!!  Help !!

What is sounds like is a stripped out door actuator. It could be the temperature or mode control.
Once the clicking stops, try changing the settings in those doors and see if the clickings starts again.

Thanks HammerTime. How do you change the settings in the doors ? Like underneath the dash ? .......or like the electric window lock on the interior door handle ? I'm confused and have very limited mechanical knowledge. âšī¸ Sorry. Any advice is helpful đ

By turning the temp from cold to hot for temp doors or from dash to defrost or heat with the mode control.

HammerTime, you are correct !! It happens when I turn on defrost or switch vents. This clicking sound.......is it bad ? What should I do ??

IDK if HT can be around for a little while? Proof positive is putting your hand right on it if possible then replace it. You'll see it stripped - I hope,

Look up the part so you see it. Many/most on sides of so called HVAC box with or without rods to actuate the doors. I can't know each model of everything but done in the same way on almost all,

Thank HT ! Search out "mode actuator" it may ask for options on the specific vehicle at least see the part is a start. Just how IDK what's in the way just be super careful not to bust stuff and it's all back where it should be,

You're looking for the Mode door actuator. It is the top one on the left side in this picture.
