Recently I've been having some car issues. Often times I would try to start up my car, but nothing would happen, my car simply wouldn't respond, the lights wouldn't turn on, even the hazard lights wouldn't turn on. I would fix it by opening up the hood, and poking a wire that is connect to the battery, then bam, my car would start working again. However, lately it's been getting more frequent, and it even happened when I was driving in the middle of the road.
Does anyone have any idea whats wrong with it? Is it my battery that is dying? Should I replace it? Or should I get my friend to come over and have it charge on his car for awhile?

Sport - we are good but YEAR, MAKE MODEL would help!
In the mean time if this was coming and whatever you poked at battery worked then it sure seems like that is the problem area. You said you get NOTHING from the battery so plain battery cable connections are likely the problem either dirty or corroded. What the heck are you poking?

Don't need a pic of the car just what it is. You should have a top post battery with non lead clamp and assorted things likely connected right there.
That's where I think the trouble would be. Car if even hazards won't work at times has near certainly been like battery was totally disconnected, any pre sets to radio or alarms would react and other assorted vehicle memory was lost to a default setting at best. It isn't nice to disconnect battery with engine running whether by doing so or by a fault.
Just look at both pos and neg connections. Remove any cover on the positive side and really look. Even if it appears fine bet it is the problem and unknown if more is wrong until those are known good and clean by brush and back on snug.
Always best to used a memory saver, disable any hood lighting and don't open a door if disconnecting a battery. Wait 10 minutes before doing so till all computer things have shut down and not a draw. Remember if disconnecting a battery to remove negative cable first and on last when all done for any reason you touch it.
Clean it all up. Dialectic grease can help for corrosion or even plain good old WD-40 just on the items not all over the place but that won't last as long.
If cables are beyond just cleaning replacement is indicated.
While messing with this if you do it check charging system that output is up to par. There may be problems caused by this if it is just this as alternators can really freak out without a battery with engine running,

Thanks alot for the help. I'm not too good with cars. But yeah, everytime the car starts up again after dying, all my radio deck settings would reset to default. Would just replacing the battery fix it?

Test the battery which I don't think is the up front problem but may do well with a new one. Battery has some marking indicating when it was made either in code or a bit easier like B-1 would mean February 2011. That is like A=1, B=2, c=3 for the month in order of the alphabet.
I though it would be resetting things like a total disconnect even if it looked fine it apparently isn't and I mean the metal "U" bolts/bands not just the posts of the battery.
If it's over 4 years old the dependability of when a typical car battery can just fail by surprise goes way up, usually just get weaker to start the car but sometimes just short out inside and kaputs, it's over. Those don't come back.
The newer the cars the more can go wrong that can get nasty expensive so is on my list to toss for a good new one proactively not just wait for a failure.
Chances are for now it can just be cleaned up. Do and or at least check the other ends of battery cables too. Pos goes to starter, neg goes to engine block somewhere and the show is only as good as the weakest link,
