Engine size: 4.6 L V8 (32 Valve)
Mileage/Kilometer: 240,000+
I'm having issues with my car starting
NOTE: The Relay is clicking like it should but i do not have a test bench to examine the possibly faulty starter relay.
Scenario:
I drove the car home with no noticeable issues (Barely 2 Miles). The next day the starter will not start or even crank (Move the key to starting position and nothing but silence.)
Things Ive checked:
I checked all connections related to the starter, (fuses, relays, battery output) everything is normal. Disconnected and Reconnected the battery. I was unable to access the starter motor due to the location of the vehicle and moving this heavy vehicle is easier said then done. Ive also tried shifting the vehicle from park to other gears to check and see if it was the neutral switch, the car knows its in park and the doors unlock when i place it in park.
All volts and amps read normally on my voltmeter. The car isn't reading any error related to this issue. Ive checked all connections, excluding starter, with a volt meter to see if they are getting at least 12v... They were. I'm stumped
We considered it being low on gas would cause it from starting, like a safety measure. (not enough gas may have caused a switch for the engine to not start) so we added A LOT of gas. (4 Gallons) It did not fix the issue.
Absolutely ANY advice will be welcomed. I am trying to fix it myself so we do not have to spend hundreds for someone to tow it and fix it.

Does this have an aftermarket or remote start system installed? Fuel level doesn't affect starter operation.
You should have the battery conductance or load tested first. Also make sure the battery connections are not all corroded up. GM side post batteries like to leak and etch the battery cables. Where are you checking your voltages at? You won't be able to use your meter to check amperage on a starter circuit unless it has an inductive clamp.
The starter is under the intake manifold.

Im testing where the IGN fuses were. 12v at every hub. The battery is not corroded nor are the wires surrounding it. Although i did not see the starter yet. There is NO after market starting system, although we had to replace the ignition on the steering column.
I will use your advice tomorrow and get with you and let you know if it is resolved.

Make sure your battery tests good before going after the rest of the starting system.
If battery is good, find the starter relay in the under hood fuse block. Put your finger on it and have someone attempt to crank the engine. Did you feel it click?
If the theft light is on or flashing while your cranking the engine, it won't allow the starter to operate.

Got a new IGN 1 relay and it wasnt the issue. all of them are moving (clicking). No theft light either. Would the theft light be the "security" light? or would it say "theft"?
