I bought a replacement driver side air bag for my 2002 Ford Focus to replace one which had been stolen. I hooked up the wiring harness tightened down the two screws and it was in! Problem is: Whenever I turn on the ignition, the horn honks continuously. HELP Did I do something wrong? Has anybody out there experienced the same problem? If so, how do you fix it? The car has been out of service since early June and I am getting desperate after having spent a bundle on the replacement. HELP HELP HELP Any Ford techs out there? Desperate in the Virgin Islands Just a small businessman trying to keep a small fleet of rental cars on the road in the Virgin Islands

it may be worth having a local shop take a look at then car. Since the air bag is an important part of the safety features of that car, and you did mention that you are the owner of a small rental shop. I would hate to see a tourist with some money get in an accident and try and sue because the air bag didn't deploy or something like that. Or if you are mechanical and feel you did everything correctly, try sending a private message to the user here way2old. He is an ford man. Let us know the problem as well. Good luck.
