I have a 1989 Ford Aerostar, Eddie Bauer Edition, with a gremlin in the electrical system.
The problem in a nutshell is this...
I turn on the headlights, and the front windshield wipers come on. If I turn to running lights, the wipers go off, and the wipers work just fine by themselves (No lights on)
I have had diagnostics run for system short, but no positive results.
Any suggestions??

Check all the grounds the large main from the battery to the engine is probably ok or the engine wouldn’t crank. It’s all the smaller ones that you should be looking for. The one from battery to body, engine to body and under dash. Take any and all apart that you can find, clean and tighten them, add extras if you’re not sure.
