Even thou the van has power locks doesn’t always mean it has all the equipment for RKE. Without a scan tool to see it electronically you’ll maybe have to go looking for the RKE module. You’ll find it at the top of the dash behind the instrument cluster; you may have to remove the dash pad to see it. The module will have a 4-wire connector with a pink, light green/red, gray/black and a black/light green wires in it. Does the key fob work on your dad’s truck? Dan.
