96 Subaru legacy taillight fuse blows
|

|
Tail light fuse blows instantly. Checked for damaged/loose wiring and blown bulbs. Everything looks fine. Where do I look next?

Tail light fuse blows right away, as soon as installed, even with car off? Or blows as soon as you turn on lights?

I dont have access to a wiring diagram until Monday a.m. when I go back to work. So I can only offer you generic advice. Pull both sides tail light bulbs. Carefully inspect the socket and contacts for any corrosion or rust, moisture, etc... Do you have a multimeter and know how to test for voltage, continuity?

everything is working fine now. I must of somehow corrected the short when I was checking the bulbs and wires. Thank You.
