95 Olds 88 AUX power outlet not working.

I bought a 1995 Oldsmobile 88 about a month ago, and the Auxiliary power outlet (in the ashtray) doesn't work. The lighter outlet beside it works fine. I've replaced the fuse and it didn't fix the problem.
Also, the interior lights won't turn off when the doors are closed. I had to remove the fuse as to not kill the battery. I wasn't sure if I should post this in a different thread.

Test for power and ground arriving at the socket. You interior lights represent a different problem and you would need to start a separate question for that.
