93 acura abs + brake light solution Sign In

i had posted here about a week ago about my abs light and how to check the code, which helped greatly, much appreciated. so i found that the abs light is coming on due to the E brake light being on. the computer thinks that the E brake is still on an active causing the abs light to come on after 30 seconds of driving. it is used to help prevent the brake from being left on. since the E brake is now not on the brake light stays on the dash, so i a m assuming that there is a short in the connection between the e brake and the light, although i am far from anyone who knows what they are talking about. i would greatly appreciate it if someone could guide me through some trouble shooting or some other reasons of why my brake light wold remain on, and how to fix it. if you could please reply asap. thanks
thank you so much again for your help, this place rocks

Do you have a regular, red brake light on beside the ABS light? If not, does the light even work?

the red brake light is working, i assume it stays on but wont turn off though. it is up above the abs light an to the right above the speedometer.

If that light is on, then that is the reason the ABS light is on. It could be low on brake fluid, parking brake partially applied or a hydraulic problem in the brake system.

I've checked the brake fluid and e brake position those are in good working condition.I don't know about it but I have heard of a malefaction in the switch between the brake an light on older cars that can be hit when the e brake is activated that can accidentally be left on which makes the brake light come on. Or what are some ways to check for a short in the connections between the brake and light? Thanks again for your feedback

I just told you what the 3 things were that can put that light on. You are going to have to determine which one it is.
