Hi,I am working on 1992 BMW325i,4dr,2.5L DOHC. I have been having a significant amount of frustration trying to diagnose the cause for this sudden onset of symptoms.I only have aftermarket service manual available for reference(provided by vehicle owner).I checked the obvious possibilities such as related fuses for circuits involved,inspected and verified that all grounds and voltage inputs are operating and present at the required pin locations according to the info I have available.I did however manage to determine that the comfort relay has no ground switching/control which is provided by the central locking control module.I was able to check and verify pwr lock operation by doing a manual test with voltage and ground supply,and also pwr window operation by doing same.So Im pretty much convinced that the central locking control module has internal failure and causing all of this.Anybody out there ever ran into this or could direct me to any TSB's relating to this?

What is the production date of your vehicle?
One thing that you haven't done is interfaced the central locking module with a scan tool to see if it is powered up and capable of communications. You can also see if there are any codes stored. It is going to require a dealer scan tool to perform that function.

production date of 92 BMW325i is 9/91,do not have access to scan tool at this time.Plus vehicle owner would rather not take vehicle to dealer due to repair budget.Would there be another way to verify that central lock module is being powered up? If I had access to a more detailed wiring schematic with correct pin locations,and was to backprobe from module connector, in your opinion do you feel that would be an accurate test to diagnose module failure?I truly appreciate your input and advice on this,but I have to look at another option other than dealer.I would prefer to take it to the dealer ,but it is not an option at this point.

If you do find the module is faulty, it is going to have to go to the dealer anyway to code the replacement, even if it is from another vehicle.
You really need to access it to see if there are any codes stored. That would make it easier to isolate the issue.
The only other things you can do, which you seem to know and have been doing is checking power, grounds, inputs, and looking for shorted outputs. If everything checks ok, it is possible the module is at fault. There is always that what if...
You really need to get some service information, so you can get some desent wiring schematics and connector pin outs.
