90 Honda accord DX 2.0 4cyl engine. Was just pulling out of a parking space, and there was a pop noise, and the car went dead. We can crank the engine, but engine won't start.

We have replaced the ignitor, checked the coil. The power box gives a code of 1long and 5 short flashes. We checked the wires leading to the power box and found one bad wire. how do we by pass this wire without causing a problem? Please give us any ideas that you can think of.
Thanks!!!!

Power box? Do you mean the engine computer?

What color is the wire? What do you mean it is bad?

Yes, I am talking about the the computer box on the passenger side under the dash. We took resistance ohm tests on the wires and found the yellow wire with a green stripe to not have a signal all the way to the computer box. Does the yellow green wire that connects to the ignitor, stay that color all the way to the computer box? We found a red/green wire at the computer box where we think the connection should be.

I also have replaced the main relay under the driver side dash.

Thanks for the wiring diagram. So according to this diagram the yellow green wire will be at #11 and at #24. We are just not getting any power to the coil. We think the ignitor isn't getting the signal from the ECU to make the coil spark. How can we test this?

Before you go all out testing the IC circuit. Did you make sure the rotor in the distributor rotates when you crank the engine?
