Just noticed my brake lights on my '89 Ford Bronco are not working. Fuses. bulbs and turn, tail, and all other lights seem to be working. I replaced the switch in the brake pedal, and also replaced the Turn signal switch in the steering column, but still no brake lights. I d not know when this started, but can't think of any "incident" that might have caused this. I have the repair manuals for the truck, but still can't find any other items to look into. Any help would be appreciated.

Several Fords of this vintage had short wires to that brake light switch and would pull and essentially disconnect usually obvious. You need to see power at the switch and that it passes thru when pedal is pressed.

If it does then power isn't making it on to the lights. If there's no power chase it back to where it lost it.

"Seems to be good" isn't good enough. Test items with a test light. All bulbs blown doesn't seem likely,

Does the brake light switch have power coming into it all the tie and then back out when the brake is applied?
