It sounds like the fan is hitting something or the door opening and close device is not working correctly. If I have just the heat or airflow on or turned off, it makes the noise unless I change the vent selection from say floor to dash. Then the noise stops but just for a few seconds and returns. If I have the AC on, no noise until I turn of the AC or turn the car off, then the noise returns. When the car is turned off the noise is there until the delayed electrical features such as lights go off. Is this an electrical problem or an issue with the units air flow door mechanism? Any ideas on how I can fix this???? You'll need to get under the dash with a flashlight and try to pinpoint exactly where the noise is originating.
