2008 Chevy Cobalt Sport2.2 L engine56,525 milesAfter I drive the car for a while (about an hour) and if I make a few stops at stores, either when I am driving or I try to start the car there is no power (the radio doesn't turn on, the dashboard lights don't light up, etc. and with no power the key is stuck in the ignition.Yesterday at 5 PM it happened again. I walked home and at 8 PM came back and no dice. I could turn the key but nothing happened.I tried again the next morning at 5 AM and same thing. Then at 12:30 PM when I went back to the car the radio was on (I had it on when I got out of the car at 5PM and turned the car off). Then I could remove the key and it started right up. Is there a electronic board or something that maybe has a short in it that somehow resets itself after a time (at least 12 hours)? Any help anyone can give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds more like you have a bad power connection somewhere, either a battery cable or power feed at either the fuse box or the ignition switch. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
