Chasing an electrical problem (excessive parasitic current) and can't locate passenger compartment fuse panel. It's not where the owners manual says it is (under driver instrument panel). Can anyone help?

I'm not sure how many REAL Ford Explorers are or were ever made for right hand drive? You may know better or more about it or if just the nameplate was kept not the features to do that.
I light of that if it say "driver's" side it probably still means the left side of dash as seen moving forward. Why? It costs a fortune to design everything "asymmetrically" opposite like dash parts. Look for it on to YOU the WRONG side.
Other is to follow wires entering thru firewall the interior fuse box should be right there inside.
Good luck finding the parasitic draw pulling fuses way there's a good read on that here how to. I'll just say make sure there's time for it to quit drawing normal power draw when shut down need to wait.
Last > concentrate on things that are normal empowered like lighting, power ports if so, brake lights and other lights especially ones hidden that may come on when something is opened,

Thanks Tom - I'll heed your advice and try tracing wires through firewall. I've checked all lights / globes and all appears okay but something is obviously causing a problem. Patience is required I guess.

Other things I do to my own especially when older: Undo hood light, glove box + compartment bulbs or the convenient things that light that cause no harm to do without. Get a throw-away flashlight for a buck instead.
Power ports/cig lighters. Make sure they are covered or a plug/cover kept in place. ODDLY - don't use cig lighters to light anything! Debris will short them inside. Use air if any look dirty for any reason or fix those.
More on this: The battery can do this by itself without the vehicle! If it goes low charged and unhooked would be a pretty sure bet. Also battery going low a lot just makes that worse even if newer they don't like charging up all the time? They are not like the other things we use are really to be strong to start a vehicle more than anything else.
This problem isn't good for it no matter what you find the constant charging and going dead will if not already harm other things that were not involved so do get right at it ASAP or seek help.

When they say "driver's side" I believe they are referring to a left hand drive vehicle. The fuse box will be under the dash on the left side of the truck. Right hand drive moves the steering mechanism and pedals only.

I said that was as strong bet HT. Not that many exported for RHD + I can't see why change way too much if not needed EVEN the manual! Tom
