2005 Dodge Caravan Cruise Control issue

Hi everyone,
I just bought a 2005 Dodge Caravan yesterday. While testing it out, I realized that the cruise control doesn't work on it. I'll be on the highway doing 60mph and when I press Cruise Control, it lights up in the dash but a few seconds later, it shuts off and I can't get it to come back on unless I restart the vehicle. I read that there is a minimum speed of 30ish mph for it to activate, which shouldn't be an issue since I was on the highway. Any advice? Even if I know very little about cars, I'd love to see if it's something that I can try to fix myself because money is tight.
