2004 tahoe master window control Sign In

Hello all, newbie here. After spending all day searching the web I have come across Car Junkies. I have faith I will find my answer here! I have 2004 tahoe. The drivers side door module which controls all windows, locks and mirror functions does not work when the ignition is on. I need to turn the car off to use the controls which has become a pain especially at the drive thru windows. Went to the dealership and of course they never heard of this. My amatuer opinion is the ignition is somehow shorting out power to the window control. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Both the main switch and the Drivers door module get their power from the same circuit breaker that is powered all the time. The drivers door module communicates with the BCM through a Class 2 serial data line so I would suspect something is going on with the BCM but I doubt you will find the solution online.

Where do you suggest I bring it? I'd like to avoid the dealership if at all possible. Thankyou

With this type of problem the dealer may be your smartest move. You can waste a lot of money with people that don't know what they are doing.
