2001 Ford F-150 crazy electrical issues. Won't start.
|

|
My 2001 Ford F-150 Lariat suddenly has developed an electrical problem. When the battery is connected, the #1 relay cycles causing the under hood lamp to blink but only when I open the door. The interior lamps do not come on and when I try to start the engine everything goes black.
The battery has been failing lately and I have had to put a charger on a few times to get it to turn over. It seems like I've fried something.
It's stuck at my place with a shop a long ways away. I could use some ideas on where to begin to trace the problem.

Nooooooo......... it seems like your battery is junk and needs to be replaced.

Have it tested first.

It was just the battery. Never experienced the strange reactions to a bad batt. I appreciate the suggestion.
