2000 buick lesabre security light

I have a 2000 buick lesabre 3.8 The problem I am having is my car appears dead until I slam the trunk lid once it then starts and all is well until the security light comes on and the gas guage ac and radio go off.Intrmitently it comes back on but the security light stays on and the problem reoccurs.Is it a trunk lid security sensor if so how do I eliminate the problem? thanks Paul
