Iv'e got something weird going on and am wondering if anyone can help. Driving down the road yesterday I blew a 5amp fuse and the dash lights went out. well, not having another 5 apm fuse I put in a 10 amp for a miniute. well the problem seemed to be resolved but noooo. With the fuse in, the lights function the way they should except with the parking lights on only. There is a buzzing noise comming from under the dash on the right side of the radio. but all the lights work. turn the headlights on and no buzzing. NOW if i take the fuse out, the headlidhts come on even when the switch is in the parking light only stage. and no dash lights.and check this out, The headlights will not turn off until I put a fuse back in the panel. anybody got a clue as to what is causing this? I'm thinking there is some relay under the dash, next to the radio. But thinking gets me in trouble more times than not. thanks Brian...

Brian one problem is a fuse is designed to pop in order to protect "something". So when you blew the 5 amp fuse, and replaced it with a 10amp one....
You are allowing what ever popped the 5 amp fuse to continue, and it probably can't pop the 10 amp one.... so its causing more harm then good.
As to what popped the fuse in the first place I'm not sure could have been the relay but now you need to hope the wires didn't get hot from tring to set of the 10 amp fuse.

I only put the 10 amp fuse in for a miniute. I put a 5 amp in it this evening and it bllew after about 5 min. Is this relay you are talking about under the dash to to right of the radio? Can I put a jumper across it to diagnose a bad relay" Iv'e noticed that with no fuse, my rear parking lights,front parking lights and my dash lights are all out when the switch is in the parking light mode

Depends sometimes they are under the dash near your driver side door. It may be worth running to an automotive store and looking at a manual for your car to find the locations for the relay.
But it could be this relay or it could be something else. Electrical problems are one of the hardest to trouble shot.

There is a constant buzzing noise when i turn my parking lights on

Hi,
Some of those noises are tough to locate. I'm confused as to why just when parking lights are on and no noise when you add headlights because the parking lights are on with the headlights.?? This would lead me to the headlight control switch itself or perhaps there a load change but I don't know why. A relay could cause a buzzing sound and I would remove it and replace it if cheap enough.
Be careful to only play with the relay that's buzzing which you may feel. If headlights won't work with it out my wild guess is that's it. The caution is that you should have air bags so only mess with that circuit. T
