I have a friend who has a 99 ford ranger. It has problems idling but when gets up to speed its ok. Sometimes stalls when revving engine. The wiring for the egr sensor was cut and no plug was present. He went a got a new one but the wiring on the plug had no colors with tracers just wires all white. I looked for schematics but didn't find exactly what wires went where on the new plug. Ideas please or links to help solve the issues.

Arrr! First hand problems are hard enough but with this not even your vehicle or probably not in your possession near impossible.
Suggest to your friend to find out what engine is even in this thing and if it's the original or exact replacement at all.

What is an EGR sensor at all asked by YOU? You mean wiring to the EGR and plug or some other place?

First issue is EGRs are enabled to operate under certain conditions and idle isn't one of them so there's probably lots more going on than just this. Begs the question why the heck would anyone do that? If it was burned up (plug) for some reason cutting it off and tossing whole thing was a huge mistake. Makes me wonder what else was all messed up also.

So what is this plug to, the EGR or the position sensor?

If this is going anywhere need to know what engine at least. Three possible were listed - which one?

If not that maybe find an exact junked Ranger with the same engine intact with all wiring and take that plug end where wires are matching by color and tracers as well,
