1998 Honda Accord EX driver's lacks power Sign In

The driver side door in my 1998 2-door Honda Accord EX, doesn't have any power. The power windows do not work when I use the window switches (no sounds either). Also, the lock switch does nothing when I toggled it and the light near the bottom of the door doesn't come on. This is only on the driver's side I have this problem. I have no problem at all on the passenger side door. I even tested the lock switch from the driver side on the passenger side and it works there. The lock though, however, does work on the driver side when I use the car remote. I've found many articles saying the main relay might needs a reset. I've tried the int wiper method many times and nothing happened. I even checked the interior fuses and there are no blown out ones. I've been spending hours looking for something that would work and found nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions? Please!

Before you get into a total twist over this try something:

Use a good jumper wire such as one with alligator clips at each end and ground the metal of the door perhaps to the body's door striker or good bare metal to the door metal. If everything comes back you lack ground and the hinge isn't a dependable ground alone.

I say "if" because anything in the door needs ground about certainly a wire hidden along with others in the door jam.

Just a chance that's it and if that works decide whether to pull thru a new ground wire or find and fix where other is broken, usually unseen inside the insulation where it bends from opening and closing the door. Bummer is other wires all bend there too so another something could come up?

I don't understand what the main relay has to do with the windows and locks. The main relay is for the engine management and fuel pump systems.

Do you have volt meter and know how to use it? Do you know how to back probe a connector and measure volt drops?

Thanks for the reply. I made a mistake. I mean it was the multiplex system I found that needed to be restarted. I do have a volt meter. I'm a little rusty at it, but I'll find some tutorials on how to use it and I'll let you know what I find when I test it. Do I do back probe each connector that's going to the door?

The MCU has diagnostic capabilities and will store trouble codes. You can activate the diagnostic routine by jumpering the connector cavity on the rear of the driver's multiplex control unit.

Quote
3. Check self-diagnosis function Mode 1 for a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) by connecting the special tool to the multiplex control inspection connector (A). After about 5 seconds, the ignition key light should come on and the beeper should beep for 2 seconds, then go off for 0.2 seconds, then blink and beep for 0.2 seconds. This means that you are in Mode 1 of the self-diagnosis function.
4. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
Does the ignition key light blink and the beeper beep?

YES-There is a DTC. Count the blinks/beeps, then go to step 7.
