1994 silverado dashboard

1994 chevy silverado 1500 5.7 when i turn on thelights for the cab(dashboard,a/c screen)the lights on the exterior turn on like they are supposed too but dashboard doesnt light or the ac screen i was running some wires under the carpet by the4x4 shifter and this started happening after i ran the wires and everything worked fine earlier the same day please help!!!!!!

You probably blew a fuse.
Check all the fuses .
Especially Fuse # 14 in the instrument panel fuse box located on the drivers side of the dash.
That fuse is for the 4WD indicator, Instrument cluster, Comfort Controls, Instrument Switches,
Radio Illumination and Chime module.
