The people I got it from said it ran acouple of years ago, but kept running the battery down. So, I replaced the junk battery, and solenoid, and now the engine will not turn over with the ignition switch, but will when I jump the solenoid leads. The part that has me most confused is that the engine will turn over even without the keys in the ignition. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. If you disconnect this wire and hook up the battery and the engine still cranks, try another solenoid. Make sure that wire is on the S terminal of the solenoid as well. I switched the wires around and it did the trick. I appreciate you taking the time to help me out, I even ended up putting the old solenoid back on.
