stereo system question

i have a 2009 scion tc and have the stock pioneer sound stystem. i want to buy a subwoofer for my car but dont know what all i need? do i just need a sub and a amp? or do i have to buy a new faceplate also?

1st up, you need to see if your head unit has RCA outlets on the back of it. From there you need the double cable RCA leads, an AMP, speaker wire and your sub. If you would like to know how to install the sub system, check the thread on "how to install a stereo" and then go to the bottom of the page and it will tell you.
