I have a 92 toyota camery with a after market sony detachable face i removed it to replace the antena i had it switced on trying to find the shortage in antena cable i heard a loud pop under hood now the face won,t come on i have power i inserted a cd but it wont play and checked all fuses is the face fride or what.

loud pop under the hood? What was the cause of the loud pop?
Got a 12 volt test light or volt meter, so you can check for power and ground at the radio connector?
