Radio readout not working Login - Sign Up

I have a 1999 pontiac grand am gt with a 3.4l engine, it's got just under 100k miles. I have owned it since it had 6200 miles on it.

I've seen this on other vehicles, but never knew what to do.
For the past few years on my car radio, the lights work sometimes and sometimes not. It's quite random, it's never all the lights, but now the read out on the clock/radio gets so I can't tell what it even says. The lights that are supposed to be on to show the numbers aren't there, but others are making a 3 look like an 8 or other character that isn't a number.

I'm sure I'm not the only one here who's ever seen this, but I'm hoping I don't have to replace the whole radio to fix this problem. I just don't want to end up having NO read out when ALL the lights end up not working.
It's hard to get to work on time when you have no idea what time it is.

Thanks!!
Rita
