RADIO WONT TURN ON AT ALL

Car stereo won't turn on, 1996 mustang, it isn't the factory radio...my winshield cracked and the car was out of business for a while...it got handed down to me so now I'm wondering how to fix it..the radio isn't turning on at all! Water had got in the car when windshield was out... What do I do?? Hellp!

If you were stupid enough to leave the car in the rain with no windshield you will be real lucky if the radio is the only thing fried.
