I recently replaced the battery on my 1992 BMW 325i and now it is asking for a code for the radio to work. i have looked through all of my papers for some sort of code to input into the radio however i still cannot find one. i also bought it from a private seller in 1998 so im not sure how to go about tracking the code down. and the nearest BMW dealer happens to be almost 100 miles away. Any ideas for how to get the code?

There have been several posts about this problem with BMWs. If you don't have the code you may be able to get it over the phone with your VIN and some way of prooving you own the car from the BMW dealer. In the future use a thing called a battery saver set up when disconnecting a battery. Not to be nasty but I wouldn't own a stereo that did that. Rubbish food and get an aftermarket that won't do that. T
