FM Radio Not Working in Jeep Grand Cherokee Sign In

We have a 1997 Grand Jeep Cherokee. The FM Radio will work sometimes and not others. It will pick up all the stations and then most of the time it will not pick up any stations at all. Any ideas on how to fix something like this? I think it must be something simple but not sure what.

This has happened to me. You will have to check that the antenna wire is still plugged into the back of the head unit. With vibration it sometimes comes out, and then you will receive only strong radio stations, for short periods of time. OR Run back from your antenna sticking our of the hood. Run it back and make sure it looks ok and there is no breaks in the wire.

is it a fender mounted antenna??

if so,also check from corrosion at the base of the antenna where cable connects...seen this before too.
