Hello, CarJunky elites, intermediates & underclassmen (such as I) :>):
My vehicle info: 2001 Jeep Cherokee Limited, 4.0 Litre 127,800 miles
Vehicle is fine, but the radio unit, a Chrysler/Mitsubishi model P04704383AH has the left-front fader out (no sound).
I swapped the two front speakers and the left-front is still the out position. Tried in vain to get a schematic or repair manual online for months, hoping to get info on the output transistors or ICs it has on board. It is otherwise in pristine shape physically, sound-wise and cosmetically looking. I love this particular CD/cassette stereo unit and I can get a used one with some scratches, etc. for about $50-$70 on ebay, but I'd like to try to fix this small problem first, if possible, being short in finances right now. Any ideas or advice on how to troubleshoot this problem would be welcome. Thanks ahead of time and...
