"Loc" is in the radio display. Radio is inoperable. What does this mean and what is the fix? Thanks in advance for any light shed on this annoying problem.

If you have disconnected the battery for any reason this could happen but I didn't think GM was doing that in '93. Check owner's manual and there might be a code to start it up again.

If aftermarket you really need to contact the manufacturer or place that installed it.

The whole idea is to stop stereo theft but I think it annoys owners more! T

He's right it is the theft lock for the radio, the code input sequence will have to be entered to activate the radio.

If this is the original factory radio and all else fails, write down the complete VIN number of the vehicle and call the GM dealer. If the code is in their computer database, they can give it to you over the phone.
