1985 GMC 1500 pickup. 350 cu. put a new timing chain in,runs fine. sometimes when i try to start it it sounds and feels like someone stuck a wrench in the engine. is it possible i didnt get the crank bolt tight enough where the balancer is. thanks frankBlush

Have you checked to see if you have a bad starter?

just a thought there.is it possable that someone advanced the timing before the chain replacement to compensate for a worn chain and now the timing is advanced by a few degrees ,that will cause what i think you're discribing, worth a check...good luck
