noise from vectra estate

i have a noise coming from the the rear of my vectra..its like a clinking noise when i drive,loud..even when i get in it to drive it makes this noise,and if i get out and rock the car it makes the same noise..iam thinking it might be the shockies,,any ideas??

It could be shocks/struts or other suspension parts. If you can make it make the noise with a helper the noise should be easy to locate. Still inspect all rear suspension moving parts and brakes too.
Outside chance it's an exhaust noise. Shaking tailpipe while cold can show those up if so,
