My 1996 Honda Accord, 104,000 miles, just started whining like a cows moo ONLY when I back up, coming from the rear wheel(s) or axle. It seems to be unaffected by the brakes or speed and happens about 75% of the time when I back up. All of my fluids are o.k. and I haven't had any work on the car recently. What gives?

I would check the back brakes as there isn't much else back there. T
