Corolla front noise Login - Sign Up

I have a '98 Corolla that makes a creaking/groaning noise mostly at slow speeds. I really don't notice the noise at a higher speed. I had replaced the drive shafts a couple of years ago so I don't think its that. I believe it might be the strut but I was wondering if there is a way to test it out somehow. The problem first began after driving on a rough logging road last summer.

Bounce the car up and down by hand and see if it makes a noise. If it does it sitting still there could be a strut problem. Look for oily stuff on the shock part of the struts which should NOT be there and best to replace both if you see that,
